Ok I know Ian has seen Spamalot ;D Has anyone else seen it? What's the verdict on Spamalot. It's made my "to see" list. I was listening to the cast recording on the ipod and OMG i did not know that Sara Ramirez -Lake Lady - on the Broadway cast recording is Doc Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy. But anyway...i just have this sudden urge to go and watch Spamalot... I have to say the cast recording is pretty funny.

Yay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D More SPAM fans. Without a doubt the funniest show iv'e ever seen. Having seen both Tim Curry and Simon Russell Beale as Arthur i have to admit Simon blows Mr Curry away. Although being a Python fan probably helps, anyone with a decent sense of humour would love the show."It's Very Very Nice" For those of you who have heard the CD if you think the Lady of The Lake is great on that then you have to see Hannah Waddingham because she is bloody awesome. Sadly it is cast change in a couple of weeks and we will be losing some fantastic people in lead roles and whoever comes in have some mighty big shoes to fill. So all you "English Bed Wetting Types" ;D ;D get yourselves down to the Palace Theatre and join in the search for the "Grail"

I wouldn't mind seeing Spamalot, but I know absolutely nothing about Monty Python. Would I still be able to understand and enjoy Spamalot?

It depends what you class as a "Big" Broadway show,it has been a huge success in the states mainly because Monty Python has suge a huge fan base over there. Iv'e spoken to some Americans who have been to see the show in London who saw it on Broadway and there are only some very minor changes between the shows. The show is now in Las Vegas as well and there are plans for Australia and Japan. Check out the website: www.MontyPythonsSpamalot.comIt really is worth going to see trust me. ;D ;D

Lady of The Lake - Hannah Waddingham King Arthur - Peter Davison Sir Lancelot - Bill Ward Sir Galahad - Graham MacDuff Sir Robin - Robert Hands Sir Bedevere - Tony Timberlake Patsy - Andrew Spillett Historian/Prince Herbert - Steven Kynman
By the way i know i didn't do a review from the weekends shows but it was an absolutely brilliant day although very emotional at the end of the evening performance.

haha well i have nothing else to go on aside from the cast recording with Sara Ramirez (Callie in Grey's). I love this at the Tony's: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yRlnSgu-bYooh i have a question, in the diva's lament it goes: 've no Grammy no Rewards, I've no Tony Awards... When Sara won she changed the lyrics to she has a Tony. Do they change the lyrics for the West End as there are no Tony's, no Grammy's here? hahaha one day i'll see Spamalot

I've never seen Spamalot, but I've been to the Palace Theatre twice. I'd avoid the back of the stalls. I sat in row R (3rd back row) for The Woman in White. It's very far away from the stage, so the actors look like dots in the distance, and the overhang from the dress circle is annoying. The sound wasn't great from here either. I sat in row B of the dress circle for Les Miserables. It was a very good view, and close to the stage, so you could see the actors expressions clearly. As I said, I've never seen Spamalot, these are just my experiences from that particular theatre.
