I'm pretty excited. I am soooooooo in love with Find Your Grail. It's actually going to fun to see that song in the context of the whole show, rather than just a single song at the Tony's.
YAY!!
Should be fun....

here ya go...here's what i thought... To borrow from my favourite songs..."if i could turn back time" I would. I would have bought tickets to Spamalot and seen it on Broadway with the original Broadway cast. Having said that, I can't. I have never really wanted to see Spamalot and i put that down to me and not really being into Monthy Python, based more on me not having seen it than me not liking the humour. However, the desire came to life when I discovered Sara Ramirez (the original Broadway LotL). I love her Callie O Malley on Grey’s and I fell in love with her voice which I think is up there with Idina. OK, so i bought the cast recording and was blown off the freaking planet, so my curiosity in Spamalot was aroused. The next thing I know Angelo and I have tickets on a Friday matinee to see Spamalot. My expectations were high. Could anyone possibly be as good as Sara? Because I had a HUGE biased. And then I started telling everyone I was going, and pretty much everyone who had seen it told me it would be really really funny. I also was in need of my "BIG BROADWAY MUSICAL". Let's see... Thanks to Ian, I got row E. Seats were fab. The only person that was out was Tony Timberlake. I think?? I won't do a number by number review...I’ll just do the points thing. I GET THE COCONUTS!!! hahaha. The Song that goes like this: Ha i loved it. I loved how it went. To be honest I much preferred Peter Davison’s voice to Tim Curry. Is that normal?? I love especially when Peter sings the “E”. Find your grail: the most played song on my itunes behind No Good Deed. OH MY GOODNESS! I love this song. I have to say was simply fabulous to see in it in the context for which it was meant to be and it was great to see it on stage. I absolutely loved Hannah’s delivery of this tune, she rocked the house. I loved so many bits and was laughing so hard and at so many things. Like the song and dance spoofs! Ha! The French castle bit was side splittingly hilarious. And the Prince Herbert number was a classic. I won’t list everything otherwise that will be the whole show. What can I say? I really loved Spamalot. I got my “Broadway musical type” show. With the great set design , the fab lighting, the costumes, and big numbers. Gotta say, I loved the video projection. I laughed sooooo hard. I most certainly appreciate the non Sara numbers on the cast recording having seen the whole show now. However, I think I much prefer Peter as King Arthur. There was just something about his performance that I really enjoyed. I think the best thing was I realise you didn’t have to be a Python fan to enjoy the show. And I admit that was probably my biggest misconception. I laughed pretty much all the way through it. The cast were great, i didn't realize until i read the program that the cast play numerous characters! They were amazing. And the Sara question? Hannah was undeniably incredible in the role. She rocked the house. Wow! Her voice was insane. And just the whole Lady in the Lake character was ace. I loved her Diva’s lament, because I was thinking the same thing…where is the lake lady? hahaha Hannah didn't get the Olivier did she? pft at that!!the woman was robbed i tell ya!! Spamalot was worth every penny for a night of laughter and fun. I highly recommend this show to anyone. And me…I most definitely plan to return to Spamalot. And there was a standing ovation at the end…starting from Row C hahahaa !!! Just something else…how long is Hannah going to be on Broadway for?

"How Very Very Nice" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Knew you'd love it, Ian Waller was on for Tony Timberlake as Sir Bedevere (also on when i was there Sat). Not sure how long Hannah is going to be LOTL on Broadway but Marin is only on in London for a month when she will be replaced by the winner of the Spamalot reality show in Sweden. Peter obviously had a good night because he was quite poor on Saturday vocally and i prefer Simon Russell Beale in the role he blows both Peter and Tim out of the water. Glad you liked the seats,we have F12 & 13 for the nieces birthday in Dec,just right for catching the bouquet. ;D ;D

As promised although slightly late my thoughts on the new Lady of the Lake and Sir Lancelot. Right we'll start with Nina,as she is a singer by profession i wasn't surprised that her voice was pretty good although she has nowhere near the vocal range of Hannah or Amy. This is her first venture into theatre and it really does show, but this is only week two (apart from rehearsals)and hopefully things will come together. The main problem was her tendancy to rush her lines a bit and her voice didn't alter to suit the what was happening on stage. If this was a school report i'd say 7/10. Jake is going to be a huge hit as Lancelot, although as with Nina he seemed to rush some of his lines which on occasions took away the punch line in some parts. His "French Taunter" is hilarious and he was so like Billy Connolly as "Tim the Enchanter".On first viewing 8/10. My next search for the Grail will involve the new "King Arthur" Alan Dale so stay tuned. ;D ;D ;D

So all of you "Bed Wetting Types" as promised my thoughts on Alan Dale as "King Arthur".Overall i was really impressed, like Peter Davison singing is obviously not Alans strong point but he more than makes up for it with everything else. His timing alongside Andrew (Patsy) was spot on and like Tim Curry he has that knack with sarcasm when needed. Well worth 8/10. If you get the chance pop along and see him,you have until June 21st. ;D ;D

Haven't seen him yet, but i can't quite shift the Jim Robinson image from my head. Then again with Sara Ramirez on Grey's i still expect her to burst into song

;D ;D ;D I'm one very happy grail searcher, Amy Field is staying on as standby Lady of the Lake. There will be new guys in the roles of Sir Robin and Sir Bedevere. No news yet on whether Alan Dale is staying on as King Arthur.

Yes I heard. Shame. It's a good show. Is it not selling? Any idea why they decided to close it?
