Mamma mia the movie or on stage?

hey all... Novazs is back. ;D

actually today ive just been to Malmo to watch the international tour cast...

and i was thinking what is the best? on stage or on the movie...?
well i like it best on stage.. i actually dont know why, maybe because the dancing part and the singing is best on stage...

but what do you guys think?

im abit of both to be honest lol! i love the show its FAB but.. the flim is just as special for me its down to... juile walters just because she was AMAZING as rosie.. i love her as an actress anyhoo!!! but the set is GORGOUS too it just really made me feel like i was truly in the show even the supporting cast were brill... just cant fault either

I agree there are parts that work better in each realm... I adore Chiquititta/Dancing Queen onstage but other parts work better on location.

great question...

i think you can't compare them. THe stage show is so different, and is brilliant in it's own right, also there is more of the story in the stage show as far as the sub plot.
There's a different vibe watching some thing on stage, a different engery.

As for the movie. well i absolutely love it to bits. Meryl Streep just is what she is, a legend and such a great actress. I mean she just owns that movie. YEs, i was in the "ooh will she pull it off" but she did and she was amazing. Julie Walters was just a scene stealer.
visually it was stunning, something you don't have with the stage show.

I don't think i can really pick one over the other . In their own rights, they're each really good and different.
Although I have actually shunned the musical for the film lol..

well on some points i will agree to you guys

but there is just somethings that i dont like on the movie.. :/ well first of all they cut some songs off, thank you for the music and knowing me knowing you... i like those song very much during the show i really missed them..

and the dancing scenes during the party is missing to, well they are there but you dont see them that much ill kind of miss that too.

Im not saying the movie is bad, cause i like it alot too!!
but i just think as Jazz says, its a different energy
Maybe its because i like it reaaaaally much on stage that it might be difficult to beat that
