I wonder whether Chris Thatcher is the one kinda taking over from Luke - if he is I would pay a fortune to come over to London to see him as u/s! He is FAB!
Edit: Just read on his website
"Chris will be covering the parts of, Princeton - Rod, Nicky - Trekkie Monster and Brian."
OMG I so wanna see him covering Simon and Jon!!! (Never thought I would say that I want to see Avenue Q without Simon.... lol)

Great fun as always yesterday afternoon at the show, sadly no Simon as Trekkie but Luke as always was a superb stand in. Iwasn't all that impressed with the new Christmas Eve played by Jennifer Tanarez but to be fair it was my first time seeing her in the role. If you want to see Clare as Kate Monster before she leaves, her last shows in the role are on Saturday May 26th. Very handy as i have front row again for the matinee that day. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

A mixture of happiness and sadness Saturday afternoon at the show. Armed with a bunch of yellow roses for Clare i caught up with her before the show for a chat along with Simon. "The Internet is for Porn" was the funniest iv'e seen yet with Clare and Simon as Kate and Trekkie, the pause before Trekkie says "You have no idea" while looking at the audience was longer than usual thanks to the audience being in hysterics and watching how Clare had Kate looking at Trekkie as if to say "Whenever your'e ready" made it even funnier. Still not overly impressed with Jennifer Tanarez as Christmas Eve but i guess you can't have everything. That aside it was great fun as always.

Show on Saturday was absolutely fantastic! Had such a brilliant time and my friend Omi loved it as well! We both were drooling over Simon in the interval and after the show! lol First time seeing current Christmas Eve. I know some people do not really like her, but I loved her. Yes she focusses a lot on the Japanese part, but "The More You Ruv Someone" works much better for me with the consistency of the pronounciation. Also really liked the new Gary Coleman - had been worried before as I love Giles Terrera but Delroy Atkinson was amazing. Great voice, great acting, very funny!

I love Avenue Q! I saw it last year, not long after it opened. I really want to see this Simon guy, I've heard loads about him, but when I went, I got his understudy, who I might add, was fantastic and very gorgeous!

I was at the matinee yesterday afternoon which gave me a chance to see the new guys in action for the first time. I was impressed with both Mary Doherty (Mrs T / Bad Idea Bear) and Delroy Atkinson (Gary Coleman),they have fitted in niceley alongside Julie,Simon and the other cast members. Star of the show as always Simon as Trekkie the guy is just so funny and was made for the role. Julie was superb as Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut and hopefully starring in the show will help promote her new solo CD which has just been released.

Guess which two forum members finally made it to Avenue Q last night? YAY Kris and I!!
And we got to see Simon Lipkin and Julie Atherton. I forgot how freaking hilarious it is. Simon and Julie were fantastic. I can't help but imagine how brilliant Tasha Sheridan would be as Kate Monster and Lucy

Glad you got to see Simon and Julie before they leave this weekend coming. I was at the 5.00pm show last Saturday and was lucky enough to see Simon,John and Jennifer afterwards to say farewell, these guys are going to be a very hard act to follow.

It's such fun! I have to take Kris to the Q!! And it has taken that long to get me there. Ha ha! It was the impending cast change that lit that fire to finally go. I so wanted to see Simon - ever since we saw him perform at Suanne's cabaret last Nov - and I really wanted to see Julie too...so we were happy theatre bunnies when there was no sub list for that show. It was hilarious! And I really needed a laugh that day... ;D

I saw the new cast on Friday night and they are..........fantastic!!! The old cast were a tough act to follow but the new guys do it brilliantly and are putting their own stamp on the show. Loved Daniel Boys as Princeton/Rod which pleasantly surprised me 'cos he's never really stood out for me in other things I've seen him in, and Mark Goldthorp more than fills Simon Lipkin's shoes as Trekkie/Nicky. Timing his pause before "you have no idea" in The Internet Is For Porn has got to turn into the new game around here!!! A mention for Rebecca Lock, too, awesome as Kate/Lucy. One or two tweaks in the show itself too I thought, for example, The Money Song seems to have been slightly cut and tightened up. I'm just not too sure about the new Christmas Eve at the moment. Yanle Zhong, gorgeous girl, great performer but I'm thinking that it maybe isn't the right role for her. A lot of the comedy that previous performers got from the role seemed to be missing. It's definately a show thats worth another see with this new cast
