Greetings one and all,so my second visit to see the new cast and as before i'll concentrate on the new guys.
This was my first look at Jodie Read as Ali and overall i was quite impressed, she is not as powerful as Lucy but seems to have settled in nicely.
Paul Christopher was Sky again and all i can say is Oliver must be pretty good because Paul is superb,he looks so comfortable in the role and the partnership with Katie is spot on.
I've taken to Katie straight away as Sophie i just love everything about her performance.
Mark Connell was on as Eddie and he looked very confident in the role.He has a really cheeky smile and the scene with the bagpipes was hilarious.
The three "Dads" Paul Ryan rocks as Harry he is just so funny, another good performance from Richard as Sam and despite the rather naff Aussie accent Andrew was a lot better this time around as Bill.
Despite this being only the second time i've seen him as Pepper i'm sorry but Giovanni just doesn't work for me.There is no charisma and his voice doesn't alter at all.
Right not that i'm in the slightest bit biased but iv'e saved the best til last.
Gemma Andrews was on as Lisa and i was very impressed as iv'e only seen her do mainly ensemble work before. She was really bubbly and has a fantastic voice. She could come on stage in a bin bag and still look stunning. ;D ;D ;D.
I'm not sure what happened with the smoke machine at the end but it went into overdrive as Katie was singing "Ihave a dream" and at one point you could only see her and Paul from the waist up and you could hear the audience further back laughing as the front rows vanished under the smoke and it was still pretty thick when Donna and the Dads came on to say their goodbyes to Sky and Sophie.
Still it all adds to the fun. ;D ;D
