Glad I wasn’t going crazy I thought I recognised some old faces form the stage show but my friend who I went with had never seen the stage show so she thought I was a bit odd shouting out “look it’s…….”!!
The film was great there were a few moments where I didn’t like little changes they had done but those can be pushed aside as the performances given by the entire cast were great. Meryl as Donna is amazing and when she sings ‘slipping through my fingers’ and ‘the winner takes it all’ I got goosebumps (and shed a tear!).
The cinema was clapping after every song and laughing and clapping at funny moments. And everyone was singing along to the songs and when the credits rolled up everyone was dancing! It was like being at the theatre!
It’s such a feel good film and I came out the cinema smiling (and singing) and I want to go again!
And the great outcome my friend who had never seen the stage show now wants to go!

just seen this tonight loved it but think the stage show is still alot better! at the end my friends & i started clapping & then the rest of the audience joined in sang the whole way through, you really cant help it to be honest but one thing is i really didnt think much of the singing, especially Pierce Brosnan but still loved it haha! plus my friend who thought she'd hate it loved it & i now have two friends desperate to see the stage show

I saw this last night, and I loved it!! I was a bit depressed yesterday cos I've got alot on my plate at the minute, and the movie gave me the same feel-good feeling the show always does!
My fave number was Dancing Queen, which is wierd cos it's not my fave in the show, but in the movie it just was brilliant, makes you feel like running and dancing with everyone! Money Money was a bit mad with all the fantasy stuff, but it worked.
Cheesiest moment: the fountain at the end!
Hottest moment: Dominic Cooper in LAYLOM, i think it should be law that DC is ALWAYS shirtless!! ;-)
I liked all the cast, thought they were perfect for it, especially the three women. Pierce's singing was a bit iffy (OK alot!) but it was funny.
Al in all a brill film, everyone should see it!!

YAY to the MM movie for knocking Will Smith's Hancock off the top spot and raking in around 7million pounds! awesome! The soundtrack is number one too in the compliations chart, who would have thought that Meryl STreep would have had a number one chart CD. YAY!! anyhoo just spotted watch this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwPlZgEI-psthat's Winner in the movie. And now listen to winner on the soundtrack. Ok they need to release the Movie recording hahah with Waterloo wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh ghetto caps... HOT..enuff said

Right then i've had time to recover and all i can say is "Absolutely bloody brilliant". Ihad a tingle all the way down my spine at the opening sequence, from then on pure bliss. Iloved the way the film adapted some of the scenes so it wasn't literally the stage show on film, like "Our Last Summer" and "Take A Chance". Full marks to the casting director for getting Julie Walters as "Rosie" she was the pick of the bunch and had me in stitches. Amanda Seyfried is gorgeous (come on i'm a bloke ;D ) and was superb as Sophie. The TV clips didn't do Meryl Streep justice on her vocals and i thought she was amazing. All three "Dads" were great and Dominic Cooper was impressive as "Sky". I was a bit surprised Pepper and Eddie were more of an afterthought in the film compared to the show especially when they first meet Rosie and Tanya which didn't feature. As for the songs they left out, personally i reckon they could have used "One of Us" and "Knowing Me Knowing You" mainly as "I Do I Do I Do" was cut down to virutally nothing. Another visit is a must especially to see if i can spot Tim Stanley second time around. ;D ;D ;D

Glad you liked it. It's bloody brilliant. I totally agree One of Us should have been in there, there's actually a clip of Meryl bursting into that song during a press conference and i was "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA they should have put it in". I feel the same as KMKY should have been in there, rather than the instrumental bit we got.
I spent most of the first time trying to cast spot. look for Tim during GGG and VV. That's where to spot him
i just want to go back and enjoy it.
Can't wait for the weekend to begin.
Have you got the soundtrack yet??
