Ok I'll try to rave too much about her, but wow what a fantastic performer! I have been going to the theatre for many years and I've seen some great shows and some brilliant performers but for me none comes close to the talent of Idina. I loved everything about her when I saw her for the first time in Wicked, her voice blew me away, I'm hooked now and off to see her again tomorrow!!! I'd be interested to hear who other peoples favourite performers are (besides Lucy of course!!) x

to be honest...my first Elphie and my favourite Elphie was and still is Shoshana Bean...and she is really different to Idina, you can't even compare them. Prior to Tuesday i could not listen to the OBC cuz Idina wasn't Elphaba for me...then i saw her and as soon as she made her entrance and then sung The Wizard and i was was blown away. Her voice is amazing, and i was sucked into her performance...i felt her being the pariah, i felt her "not that girl" and i was cheering for her in "As long as your mine"....SHE WAS WICKED!! as i said it's no wonder she got a TONY....and every applause she got was soooo throughly deserved And the OBC CD doesn't do her voice justice..she has to be seen to be truely appreciated. She's great in Rent too... and something really amazing was Shoshana as Nessarose and Idina as Elphie...what a combo that was this is the best ever photo i have seen of No good Deed...

i want her cd now tbh i was listenting to it on the net and tryi ng to sing along with take me or leave me not doin well Watch Rent with subtitles it's almost like a sing-a- long but not quite ;D I have the movie "soundtrack" and the original Broadway recording. I love Take me or leave me. you can really hear the difference in her voice on those two recordings. Have you seen Beowulf? Idina's got a song in that movie. She was meant to have a song in Enchanted but they cut it from the movie.

Andrew Lloyd Webber, who celebrated his 60th birthday March 22, will belatedly mark the occasion publicly Sept. 14 with an all-star gala outdoor concert that will be held in London's Hyde Park. The 6 PM concert is entitled Andrew Lloyd Webber's Birthday in the Park.
Along with Idina, other performers include Steve Balsamo, Duncan James, Lee Mead, Elaine Paige, Rhydian, Joss Stone, Julian Lloyd Webber, Hayley Westenra, stars of BBC One's "I'd Do Anything" and the 100-voice Crouch End Festival Chorus. They will be accompanied by the 70-piece BBC Concert Orchestra. Also, John Barrowman will host the show.
The concert, for which tickets are £25, will close with a fireworks finale. The concert will be recorded and subsequently broadcast on Radio 2's "Friday Night Is Music Night" on Oct. 10. For more information and to purchase tickets click here.
The evening's repertoire is set to include the following songs: "Jesus Christ Superstar," "I Don't Know How To Love Him," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall," "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Memory," "Pie Jesu," "Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," "Love Changes Everything," "No Matter What," "As If We Never Said Goodbye" and "Any Dream Will Do."
