Opening in London on March 18th, 2008 - previews from 28th February. With some of the Mamma Mia boys going into it this forum finally needs a JB thread! lol
Gotta book tickets asap (well when am paid next week), knowing now that Jye will be in it! Cannot wait to see him in it, he will be great as Joey and Frankie Valli (u/s)!

What's Jersey Boys about? I've heard of it, but I know absolutely nothing about it.

I wish I knew if I will still be around for this one...will probably be moved by then... I love Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons...I'm not old enough to have known them in their original days but I went through a time in the 90's when I was just lovin' the oldies from the 60's...I'll bet the show will be pretty cool...

The show looks good, there was a clip on the Emmy's the other night. Like you I'm familiar with the tunes. I originally wanted to see it on Broadway last year, but ended up at Hairspray. Kieran Jae is going to be in it hahaha so I've scrapped it off my Broadway list, and moved it to my West End list hahaha

Suppose most people have heard it already: Ryan Molloy, part of the Laurence Olivier Award-winning ensemble of Jerry Springer The Opera, will play Frankie Valli in new musical and Broadway hit Jersey Boys when the show opens at the Prince Edward in March 2008. In this musical story about American band Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Molloy is joined by Stephen Ashfield as Bob Gaudio, Glenn Carter as Tommy DeVito and Philip Bulcock as Nick Massi, all of whom were on hand at the Prince Edward this morning to launch the London production, along with two of the real-life Four Seasons, Valli and Gaudio. .... www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/news/display/cm/contentId/96193

Okay let's be honest from the start when Kieran Jae was in MM playing Eddie, I admit I wasn't sold on him. He wasn't as bad as some (in my opinion) but when I saw him in Jersey Boys last Friday WOW!!! He really won me over.
The guy was incredible as Bob Gaudio and I wish he was on full time cos I'd love to see him play the role again. He is much more talented than I ever realised and I'm woman enough to admit that I didn't give the guy enough credit.
Well Done Kieran. I hope I see you again!!

I was also there on Friday night and totally agree, he gave a brilliant performance but I also though he was excellent in Mamma Mia.

You saw KIERAN i envy you lol....i bet he's fab. I saw this last night. Yup plenty of MM old skool. I saw Kieran (who oozes lovely - he wasn't on stage though), Graham Vick - normally swing was on, and Jo Prouse was on stage. Oh how fab is Jo?? Have to say Jersey Boys trip last night was completely unplanned, i booked the tickets last minute. What a brilliant show, and such amazing talent on stage. I'm glad I didn't see this on Broadway, nor in Vegas. Deffo have to buy the tunes now, too bad there isn't a London cast recording

WOW went to this on saturday for the 1st time... It is amazing.... Can't wait to go back again! i was there on saturday too i did enjoy it but wouldnt go again, there was way to much story & not enough singing, they could have made up for that in the finale but no that was pants, that aside the cast were fantastic (this is not just my view but the 5 people i was with view's too)
