Still great - and still my favourite show in London! Lisa O'Hare is amazing, as beautiful and wonderful as I had remembered her. She is very different to Scarlett, plays Mary Poppins already as she lives the role - practically perfect. She works already after the few weeks she has been in that role so perfectly together with Gavin, the kids etc. Rebecca Thornhill as Mrs Banks is good, prefer her too Eliza Lumley, much more emotional, but no one beats Linzi! Zee Asha as Mrs Brill is an amazing improvement, well it couldn' get worse after Sarah Flind. Zee and Howard Jones as Robertson Ay are sooo hilarious together! Romy Baskerville as the birdwoman is so moving! The ensemble is alright, when I saw it when in London, there was still some work to do, but hopefully Phil etc worked with them in the last weeks as he was to! And then the changes: well... some of them improved the show, especially the one at the end of Anything Can Happen, some as the Jolly Holiday ruined the show slightly for me. Sure, Jolly Holiday was maybe a bit too grey but now it is just OTT, too sugary for me! And they reduced the statues coming alive to a minimum, really bugged me! Cannot wait to see it again next year!

Get voting - Scarlett is up for the award of "Best Takeover in a Role" - Darius can't win (though he currently is in the lead...)!

and if you vote already vote for her sister Summer who is up for the award for "Best Supporting Actress in a Musical"! She is as incredible as her sister!

I DON'T WANT THIS TO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!! There are strong rumours it will in January/February next year - my friend Dane told me it first, and his best friend is in Mary, so I trust him with what he says.... why do shows as WWRY (nothing against it, its best time is just LOOOOOOOOONG over) survive while such amazing shows as Mary close???

yes i keep hearing that same rumour too, isn't that so they can put JErsey Boys in or something?
Ridiculous, there are "OTHER" shows that should close...

Yeah, the JB producers want that theatre apparently! Well it is not making enough money anymore, that is the main problem why CamMac is even considering giving the theatre to another show - I remember being to matinees with just over 600 people there in last months! And Dane told me the Thursday matinee sometimes just has less 500 people in it at the moment! It is still doing good on weekends, but not during the week...

Show (no 66) on Saturday was AMAZING! Full standing ovation even at the end - haven't had that for AGES! Last time I saw Lisa O'Hare, was so sad! My favourite guy was not on (well he is the dance captain and swing....), actually full cast for the first time in weeks! But saw him afterwards - so much fun and the information I got was interesting... Cannot wait to see my favourite show again in just over three weeks - Scarlett Strallen will be back then! Well she is actually already as they started rehearsals yesterday.

Finally got to see Howard Jones as Bert on Saturday, had waited nearly 3 years for this day to come! And it was worth waiting - he is so fantastic!
And will never ever sit in B14 with knowing that one certain guy is on as Jack-in-the-box, he scared the crap out of me with staring at me on purpose....

If I wanted to get good seats for MP, how far in advance would I need to book? I'm probably going around the middle/end of December. If I booked in about October, would that be ok?

For going mid of December, I would say booking in October should be okay, for end of December just before and after Christmas it might be already a bit tougher to get good seats then (especially if you wanna go on a Saturday) - but since the show is closing I would not wait too long to get your tickets as am sure once they start advertising the show with something like "book now, closing in January" people might rush to book tickets to finally see it.

Lewis Greenslade is going back into Mary Poppins! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Okay, just for 10 weeks, but hey, am planning to see 10 shows in these 10 weeks, so am a happy bunny! Anyone who never got to see him as Neleus, go and see the show - he is one of the two best Neleus'! I absolutely loved his Neleus, I got to see his first ever performance as Neleus back in May 2005, when Stuart Neal was off sick and Jye who was on as Robertson Ay, and from that moment I had wanted him to take over that role - which he did but was just to for six months as he was to leave the show completely then and unfortunately after just four months in that role he broke his leg and never returned! From his myspace blog: As some of you may be aware, i performed in the original cast of Cameron Machintosh / Disney's "Mary Poppins" in the west end of London not too long ago. Well they've asked me back to play "Neleus" for the closing two months before it goes on tour so, for anyone who didn't get the chance to see me the first time round, I'll be appearing in the show from November 5th- January 12th. Hope to see you there
